Industrial Engineer (Garment)

Job Description

Responsibilities:

• Process Analysis & Improvement:
  – Analyze existing production processes to identify inefficiencies.
  – Develop and implement new methods to optimize manufacturing operations.
  – Use time and motion studies to establish standard work practices.
  – Implement lean manufacturing principles to reduce waste and improve efficiency.
• Production Planning:
  – Work with the production team to develop and maintain efficient production schedules.
  – Ensure optimal use of resources, including labor, machinery, and materials.
  – Monitor production flow to ensure timely completion of orders.
• Quality Control:
  – Collaborate with the quality control team to ensure that products meet required standards.
  – Implement quality improvement initiatives to reduce defects and rework.
• Capacity Planning:
  – Assess production capacity and recommend adjustments to meet changing demands.
  – Plan for equipment and workforce needs to ensure seamless operations.
• Cost Reduction:
  – Identify and implement cost-saving measures in the production process.
  – Analyze material usage and waste to find opportunities for cost reduction.
• Workforce Management:
  – Train and guide production staff on new processes and standard work procedures.
  – Evaluate worker performance and provide feedback to enhance productivity.
• Data Analysis & Reporting:
  – Collect and analyze production data to monitor performance and identify trends.
  – Prepare reports for management on production efficiency, costs, and quality metrics.
• Health & Safety Compliance:
  – Ensure that all processes comply with safety regulations and industry standards.
  – Implement safety improvements to minimize risks in the workplace.
• Collaboration & Communication:
  – Work closely with other departments such as design, procurement, and logistics to ensure smooth production operations.
  – Communicate process changes and updates to relevant stakeholders

Requirements:

• Bachelors degree in Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related field.
• Proven experience as an Industrial Engineer in the garment or textile industry.
• Strong knowledge of garment manufacturing processes and techniques.
• Proficiency in time and motion studies, lean manufacturing, and other efficiency improvement methodologies.
• Experience with production planning and control.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Salary: $1900 – $2000
