QSM Manager (Manufacturing)

Job Description

This position performs planning, coordinating, and directing with all quality control and assurance program which is design to ensure continuous improvement toward quality excellence of the products with established
standards and procedure. Also develops and analyzes statistical data and product specifications to determine present standards and establish proposed quality and reliability expectancy for finished product. The work requires knowledge of the policies, procedures, regulations of quality control work, technical skills/techniques, personnel policies and procedures. Ensure continuous control over materials, facilities, and products. Plans to promote and organizes training activities related to product quality and reliability.

Key Responsibilities:

• Champions the implementation of environment, health, safety and security programs and activities to ensure the active participation of the department and/or assigned committee to achieve a safe, secure, clean and healthful work environment for all employees at all times.
• Champions the implementation of all management systems and quality initiatives of the company.
• Takes responsibility in complying with the Companys Code of Conduct and Discipline.
• Assist in any programs designed to improve quality and efficiency of the operational processes as well as to reduce costs.
• Propose and assists in developing, controlling and implementing cost effective systems of control over such activities as operating expenditures, manpower, salaries, wages and overtime.
• Coordinates annual internal and external audits. Ensures that all documentation meets audit requirements.
• Monitor all quality control activities of the factories specifically on the implementation and evaluation of all quality control and assurance systems and procedures, manpower requirements planning/inventory and upgrading of working procedures based on buyers demands and specification.
• Monitor and analyze monthly quality statistic performance for QC. dept. (e.g SQR, adicomp returns, Warehouse claims, Technical Audit, MQR, RFT and Pass Rate). Current quality performance will be posted
  and discussed to concern personnel.

Qualifications:

• Must be at least 4-year College graduate
• Minimum of two (2) years as a Managerial position in a manufacturing setting.
• Must have a working knowledge in quality systems and garment production process.
• Ability to work independently on several projects simultaneously.
• Ability to manage complex projects on a factory level.
• Ability to think strategically, synthesize the most complex data and develop innovative solutions.
• Ability to cope with change, make decisions and act comfortably with risk and uncertainty.
• Ability to plan, lead, organize and control.
• Expert knowledge of the quality trends and strategies.
